I took a look at this last night but it's hard to see the detail. From the
description, it sounds like each rod is connected to the top and bottom
rings with a stud. At first, it appears that Rick is right, but I don't
think it makes sense to bend each rod over a form, then attach it to the top
& bottom while maintaining to ring in the middle at the right place.
Wouldn't it be easier to handle this like a normal basket twist? Twist one
way to shorten the distance between rings then reverse, while maintaining
the center ring position, to let it bloom out above and below the center
ring. As the bloom starts, you could increase it by pushing the end.
