Two reasons.
The first is this is a rural setting and
the rope would sort of fit in.
The second is that the rope should allow
me a little sideways tolerance without
losing the water. Either way the chain
or rope will be anchored at the end.
This place is on top of the only hill
for a few miles, and the wind gets real.
