[TheForge] klez is a hoax

The klez actually drops another virus (the name of which escapes me at
the moment). It is this virus that slowly eats away at .exe files until
they are completely corrupted and unrecoverable. Then it moves on to
more and will slowly eat away your entire system. The klez is like the
Trojan horse (not in the computer since). It comes in seemingly harmless
and then it plops this other big nasty onto your hard drive as it
spreads through your computer and network. The thing about this other
virus is it doesn't just eat up one file and then move to the next work.
It goes out and finds several files to attack and then slowly works on
them while it goes and finds even more files and starts the process over
again. So you won't notice it until several programs stop working at
once and many others will be beyond repair. I work at a local ISP and
this happened to my boss's laptop. He had 72 programs stop working all
at one time. Well, just thought I would share.

The Klez WORM is a hoax..... the klez is an email virus.... a worm
deletes 
files and destroys data. The Klez is closer to a denial of service virus
for 
email servers
