[TheForge] Help with info

My son is doing a report on blacksmithing due Dec 5, we are having a time 
finding info, can someone help us the time 1800-1840.  The sites we have 
found so far are modern day forging.  What a wonderful art you all craft 
amazing work.  If any one has any info we would greatly appreciate any HELP.  
He is in the forth grade, Pioneer Days for history is the subject.  Thanks.
