Well, Hell no, It doesn't! It might be a POS, but it's an adequate POS for
my purposes. :)

Doesn't cost ~$2000 either.

Guess it depends on what you make a lot of. Mine comes in handy for some
things, but it isn't the most often used tool in the shop by any means.

Oh, yeah. That's, to me, the sure mark of factory-made or
too-quickly-produced handwork, unfinished ends on things.

That's where I use it. Couple of times a year I have to make about 100-200
(and up) circles on rod stock. Thing's tits-on-a-tomcat useless most of the
rest of the time. That's why at $50 it was a good buy, for me, and that was
about all I  wanted to spend for a bender.

Likely as not, but sometimes time is a big concern and pretty isn't. :).
