[TheForge] Shots fired? - YAK

For what it is worth, I had my drivers side door- window "explode"
and crumble into bits of glass on my own car in 1977. This happened on a
"farm to market" gravel / crushed rock road. We owned and farmed the
land on both sides of the road. It was broad day light on a May morning
and the field crops were just corn and soybeans: not tall enough at that
time of year to hide a sniper. It was not hunting season, and this is
basically treeless, flat land: there are no easy places to hide a vehicle.

It happened just as a gravel truck met/ passed me going the opposite
direction.

I figured that a rock had caught in the tread of the tire and then
released. What ever it was came too hard to just be a rock falling off the
truck's load. I didn't even think to try and chase down the gravel truck.
