You mean 425-450, Ralph? The specs on Anvilfire (tnx for the pointer,
Geoff) for late model LGs says 437. Andy's (nameless? :-) book says
375. I was just out tonight cleaning up my 18" (steel, 2-piece)
pulley and I think I have enough different pulleys that will fit my
1-3/8" jackshaft to give me three or four speeds between 388 and 465.
If I build enough adjustability into the jackshaft and motor positions
so that I don't have to make up different belts for each combination,
I should be able to switch (with a good serving of PITA) if the one I
try first isn't quite good enough.

Heh. Tell me. Creak...groan. Thanks for reminding me about that. I
have a nice 5' baulk of 8"x9" hemlock left from the A&O installation that
I could use. Gotta measure stuff up tomorrow and see if that 8" would
work. After a couple-three week-long episodes of bedrest for back
cricks over the last decade, I'm getting real keen on ergonomics.
