[TheForge] Pointless complaining

It's sad how many people actually indirectly ask the gallery owners to
tell them what to like and what not to like. It does substantiate the
point that you really do need the gallery owner on your side. Like it or
not, to sell, we do need to play the game to be involved with the fine
art world. My personal experience has been that most artists in any
media are pretty down to earth people. (My education is in fine art)
It's the museum curators, gallery owners, and critics that are the flaky
strange ones. That's why the impressionist painters around the turn of
the century banded together to promote and sell their own work, in order
to eliminate the uncooperative "experts" that were telling them that what
they were doing wasn't "art."
