That's one of the characteristics of beeswax, it stays sort of soft and
sticky or tacky feeling. Use the Johnson's or Butcher's waxes it will make
a world of difference for you.

The solvents in the Johnson's and Butcher's waxes are there to keep the
carnauba wax soft for application purposes. It will completely evaporate
leaving only the hard carnauba wax behind for final polishing.
