Alfred In all probability you have a Trenton, made in Columbus, Ohio. The front of the base should have number on the left which is the weight and on the right the serial number. The very early trentons(pre 1897 or '98) were made in Germany, it sounds like that's what you have. And one of the best ever made. And what a deal... Stephen
