[TheForge] LG Mechanical to Air conversion

A couple of things. One, a four inch cylinder is going to want a goodly
volume of air. Next, the alignment of the bore with the ram guides will
me critical to the life of the cylinder. On the plus side, you have way
more cylinder than you need, so it should hold up better in general and
specifically if there is some slight misalignment.
Just some things to consider. I think the conversion would be a cool
thing. I'm not a big fan of the Little Giants. I've used a 50# quite
a lot for several months and was not impressed very favorably, but that
is just my personal tastes. The clutch was supposedly well tuned, but
I found the control to be lacking. I also do not at all care for the
design of the ways the ram rides in. I was told that the "new style"
LGs have a different arrangement, but don't know if this is true. I
have Doug Freund's book, but alas it is in Scottsdale with the rest
of my life. :)
From my experiences with a 50# Giant, I would think a well thought out
and executed conversion to air would be a great idea.
Best luck to you.

PS: anyone in AZ or environs want to buy a REALLY nice Jeep Cherokee
Sport? 1997, loaded, auto, CD, cruise, white on grey, 4x4, 6 cyl,
UpCountry suspension, etc. yadda yadda yadda. All I'm looking to get
for it is what I still owe on it, $13,800. If you know anyone
interested,
they can get ahold of me at this address or call me at (732) 541-8339.
Sorry for the ad but things are tight here. Thanks.
