Since Josh hasn't answered yet, I'll let you know what I know, Fisher and
Norris were the first and last American manufacturers of anvils, they were
made in Trenton NJ. The anvils are cast iron with a tool steel face and top
of the horn. The anvils do NOT ring like a wrought iron anvil (which is nice
if you spend any amount of time at the anvil) another thing they don't do is
develop a belly like a wrought iron anvil will with use. The faces are very
hard and have good rebound. I sold my 150 and missed it so, that I bought it
back for more than I sold it for (smart!!) If you have a chance to get one
do it, you will not regret it.
