Hey Guys!!!
There's nothing like old technology merging with new technology.

I was watching BattleBots on Comedy Central on cable, late last night. I 
know I could have been working in the shop.
The championship trophy for the different weight classes is "The Giant 
Nut". It is an actual hex nut with about an eight inch thread diameter. 
Reminds me of my old days in steam turbine installation and maintenance.

Anyway, they showed video footage of the nut being hot forged prior to 
machining the threads, and clean up machining the faces.
VERY COOL!!! Looked alot like the photos we've seen of anvils being hot 
forged under a huge power hammer.
VERY COOL!!!

As they say on BattleBots, "It really kicked Bot!"
