What is all this!!!!!
I make my own square headed pyramid head bolts for the jobs....
The hardware store down in town has square nuts plated.
I have a hundred count box of about 6 sizes.
I then buy the appropriate size "lag bolt" or" threaded bolt and cut the heads
off the bolts, I then stuff or screw the bolt into the nut "half way" and weld
inside the hole, and fill the hole past the top.
I then grind the top to a four sided pyramid head.
I then place the pieces into the forge and burn all the galvanizing off.
I am lucky because I have a shotgun shop with a large sliding doors at each end,
when both are open the breeze is very strong and I stay upwind...
As for welding the galvanized bolts onto the galvanized nut I use a very good
filter mask..
After all the galvanizing is removed I then sandblast or wire brush, then ,
Blacken and or, clear coat or paint..
There are places that you can buy non plated bolts and square nuts, but that is
almost as bad as the search for completed pieces.
It's just so easy to run up the hardware store...
The search and the high quantify purchase is not worth the time... It is just
easier to make then..
