Lee Valley tools has a deep throat fret saw that will take the spiral metal
cutting blades. Great for intricate designs, but I have only used those

A note here,  I also have a deep throat hack saw called a Bow Hack, it
doubles as a bow saw. uses standard 12" hacksaw blades but has an 8"
throat. Got it at Wal-Mart a few years ago but have not seen them
since....  keep your eyes open for one. Their great.
