John, I use 25 foot hoses cut in half so I'm also running near the
length of yours at 12 1/2 feet. I also have the same situation that the
torch will run a while when shutting off after being hung up. The rosebud
demands so much oxygen to run that it goes out much faster than the mix
running the cutting torch or welding tips.
When you have trouble with your pilot, I find they carbon up and you
need to stick a pin down thru to clear the air ports after a while.
I mounted mine on a piece of plate with a square tubing below it so
I can move it to three different stations in the shop......one of which is
on a stand that goes near my fab table - that is the most used spot. I do
like it near the sit down tig station I have though when I'm making fastener
heads it is kinda handy there too. Third place is by the door to keep the
pilot out of the wind, but be able to cut or heat on the platten table when
needed(which is just outside the door).
I also made a bracket that fastened a bolt eye to the torch
head.......you only have to drop the torch once to realize the dented tip
takes way to long to file down and clean. This makes a positive hold for
the torch head on the hook(mostly the rosebud was the problem, the cutting
head nut seems to stay pretty well.

Ralph
