I'm pretty sure I can hit 2.5" x 16". ( The anvil face is only a little over 3" wide, and much shorter, and I haven't missed it yet.) If you're thinking of me hitting the 2.5" x 2.5" end, I'd have to agree. I wouldn't want to trust my aim in that case. Rest assured, as an upsetting plate, I don't have any plans of standing it on end. Bob
