Randy,
Since you are blasting an object that can't fit into a
cabinet you want to use a 'disposable' abrasive. My
landlord is a full time sandblaster, he uses crushed
glass-like dust (40 grit)... it is NOT glass bead. He
sells the crushed glass for less than $10 for a 40lb
bag.
I have used the crushed glass a few times, it can be
reused 3 or 4 times before it gets too dull. Leaves a
great flat (non polished) finish that hold paint very
well.
