If is in a box and can be recycled you may want to use white silica sand
If you are just shooting in the open you might want to use the standard
brown construction sand you getting a bag it's usually dryer.
I would not recommend the use of the special sands that you can buy from
the sandblast cabinet people.
whatever you do, you want dry sand...so don't go to the local sand and
gravel place and buy the stuff that is loose and under a tarp...
30 feet of rail takes a long time to do, I take all my big railing jobs
to the pro down the street and save the smaller stuff for the blast
cabinet..
