Ralph,
Don't MIX these acids.  Try muriatic first.  It's cheaper and I think =
you'll be satisfied with the results.

wonderful with acids.
        From there I'd probably go the flour, vinegar, and salt for a mild
abrasion and maybe use them with the Brillo pads.  The paste might be nice
as some of the copper cleaners were pretty neat pastes, but you didn't get
much mileage out of a $4 bottle.
