Thanks for all the suggestions on how to clean up the copper. I've
picked up some of the items to try out tommorrow. Interesting........nine

Muriatic acid (with no steel contact previously)
Lemons with salt
Brillo pads
Ketchup
Soy Sauce
Salt & Vinegar
Vinegar/Salt/Wheat Flour
Sodium Bisulfate
Phosphoric Acid
Just for those of you that want to print a list to try yourself
