A couple of  years ago I wanted a small gas forge, and came up with a design
for a small unit that works very well. As shown in the image on Ron Reils
web site, http://www.reil1.net/brforge.gif  it is small, but being made of
fire brick, one can change the shape easily to work a larger item. I mainly
use it for small things, or ideas I want to try quickly.  Mostly I use my
coal forge, but love the fact this little forge is there to turn on in a
second.

Sure, why not?  Let me see what happens first with the MAPP torch approach.
