I had to look this up myself, just to find out if I was being insulted. :-)

Gymnosophist is basically a naked mystic. The dictionary says that it 
derives from a type of Hindu philosopher that wore little to no clothing 
and gave up the things of the flesh.

Since I'm not a Hindu, Aramaic or Persian philosopher, nor have I given up 
any of the things of the flesh (except for turnips), I came to the 
conclusion that I was not being insulted. <VBG>
