I think that Dave Brown is right. This is the wrong die for your hammer.
It's that 1/3" thing that gets me chuckling,,, can't find 1/3" on my rule.
You could weld the 1/3" plate to the die. That would eliminate one problem.
Then you could simply forge a single new shim to replace the mess that
someone sold you. Of course the best thing would be to buy a set
of matched dies from Sid.
