Peter Ross wears cheap (I think approx. $2.00 at Harbor Freight) bib type
aprons made of blue denim cotton and probably normally sold to woodworkers
etc.
A real man will wear only a whole hide mule skin. You don't need straps
etc. just tie the legs from the whole skin around behind you. It helps if
their isn't too much hair on the skin - a little is OK as it will burn off
quickly. If the skin is fairly fresh, off an old tough mule, and worn
constantly, in time it will form to the body of the blacksmith which is good
unless the smith is gaining or loosing weight rapidly.
