Weld ball bearings of three different sizes onto handles.Use a piece of flat
bar for the handle and weld the ball so it is underneath.
Take a sheet of iron or copper and anneal it. Place over a sheet of lead
about 1/4" thick. Hammer the ball into the sheetmetal. How close or distant
is up to you, close together it looks like a cluster, more spread out like
looks like single grapes. Big ones in the middle tapering down to a few
little ones.
Level the sheet to a flat table then cut along the outer edge, This will
give a cluster that can be view from only the front. Make two and solder
together for a full figured bunch.
It is not the most realistic approach but is fast and gives a good
impression.Bob Bergman

Subject: [TheForge] Instructions for making grape or nut clusters

Hi All,

I have been trying to locate an online demo or book resource on how to make
grape and or nut clusters. I've understood them to be made from ball
bearings, but thats about it.

Any help or direction will be appreciated.....as always.
