How hot is that? "flash point" sounds like you mean the temperature at
which the gasket will start burning, right? This sounds more like the
temperature for drying out rods that have picked up some moisture rather
than basic storage. When I have time I'll have to go take a look at the
Lincoln site on this.
Another alternative would be to get one of those vacuum food sealer things
and bag the bulk of rods from an open pack and vacuum pack them in smaller
quantities until needed.
