Regarding the work in the cover photo...

It's a beautiful piece of work.  This has already been pointed out.
It is obvious to me as a practitioner of metal work that the welds
were made electrically.  I think that they look good in the
piece--that is to say that they were an athestically good choice for
the composition.  That is what is important to me.

The piece works and work really well.  I would go as far as to say
that part of why it does work is the smooth transitions created by the
arc-welded joints.

Each time we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to create an
original work for a client, the muse leads us down a new path.  I hope
we will be open to using techniques and jointery appropriate to the
overall design.  That may incude traditional, conventional and even
new ones we invent to solve a unique problem.
