Peter, I Agree with you completely. I've been welding now for 40
years and the Victor aircraft torch was one of my first purchases way back
in Jr High. I can still get parts and tips for this
thing...............although I make no claims to be a Peter
Renzetti......his puddle people are amazing. I love to watch him run a
torch and do his "wee" sculptures. He was doing this at the ABANA
conference in Wisconsin and always had a crowd, but that's nothing for Peter
as everyone enjoys being around that type of talent.
If folks didn't make the confrence one of the highlights was to just
walk by on occassion (or stand for hours ) to see Peter Renzetti, Carl
Close, Tom Latane, Tina Chisena, and Paul Spaulding working on the
masterpiece in the center of all the other activities. I'm sure it will be
featured in the Anvils Ring for you to see the work. Just the top of the
key blew my mind as to how many hours it took. I was talking with Paul and
believe he said 400 hours in the key alone. Being able to watch true
masters like this makes me want to make all the rest of the confrences.
This was the first one I was ever able to attend, and I sure came away
impressed.
Ralph
