Hehe, Im making a big gate at the moment for the entrance to my showroom and
its a tree, so far I think I have about 300 leaves and still going strong,
its about 3.5 meters high though, its 3d but its only in 1 plane so its
kinda 2d I guess because its a gate.
TIG is best way to attach the leaves also, looks like a forge weld. Only way
I could think of to make the trunk was pipe, its about 180mm and tapering
through 3 other sizes going up the trunk, you cant really tell though, the
trunk looks like 1 piece. All the larger branches are pipe also but forged
to look lifelike. Its about 80% finished and has taken a LOT of my time
