<< Jerry a little history lesson for you..... the entire world was at war 
during 
 our little disturbance here in the colonies. The French and Spanish were at 
 direct war with the English and the Prussians (Germans). This was a true 
 world war being fought in Europe and all throughout the various portions of 
 the European Empires. In our part of the world they were fighting in the 
 colonies, Mexico.....all through the Caribbean (then the East Indies) Oh yes 
 it was indeed the entry of the French that saved our collective butts... 
 primarily by drawing off forces that would have fallen on our forefathers. 
It 
 is hard groing up the son of a history teacher........ >>
