For all the smiths on theforge who have groused at
Hollywood for their weak portrayal of smiths AND at
the risk of being flamed for self promotion:

My new book, "A Sword for the Immerland King" is
finally out. Initiated in that angry moment of having
read a bad story about a smith and knowing that I
could do better, it is a visionary fiction novel about
a smith whose convictions run him afoul of his king.

The original purpose was to write a story that did
justice to blacksmithing and it got out of hand in a
hurry. Maybe someday they will make a movie and I can
insist that they do the smith and his son properly :-)
