Thank-you, dear, but have you had your eyes checked lately?

;-)

Well, I can lift quite heavy weights, if I can position myself correctly,
but not being able to use my knees sorta limits the positioning I can do.
I've actually sent myself into back spasms by being careless with 5 lbs, so
I'm VERY careful about what I do and how I do it. I haven't had to use
muscle relaxers or heavy pain meds in over a year, and I'd like to keep it
that way.... And of course, weather can make everything worse.

I suspect it's more mindset than anything else. That and knowing HOW to
handle a hot object- you can handle something too hot for most floks to deal
with by gripping it lightly, where a death grip places more of your flesh in
contact with the item.

Oh, now, he's quite amusing, and he really does have some interesting things
to say, once you sort through all the bullshit. I've learned from him, just
as I've learned from all you guys ;-)

the idea is, in my head, that we're a community, all here to help each
other. Granted, my interests are in smithing pre-1600, but none the less, I
do find interesting things to think on, from some of the more modern stuff-
primarily heat treating techniques for different steels

And, on those rare occasions when I feel the need for a rant, I know I've
got a few friends here, who may not necessarily agree, but who will at least
do me the honor of listening and thinking about things.

Wish I could get out your way. There's a lot of you guys I'd love to meet
and pound iron with. Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to afford the Kentucky
conference, supposing it gets held.....
