Folks around here seem occasionally enamoured of sheet metal butterflies 
tacked to the house. Note that we are just east of the Continental 
Divide. Spring and Fall it is not unusual to have several occurrences of 
a couple of days of 60 mph winds. Depends where you live; gusts can 
reach 70-80 in the right spots near the foothills. I suppose that the 
right spots have been stripped of wings some time ago. Imagine thin 
sheet flying with the wind...
