I think the quest for a big anvil is often a status thing; like owning =
the largest SUV.  I have a 350-lb PW, which I love, but it's actually =
too large for some work.  I probably use my 142-pounder more often.  =
Seems to me a 500+ anvil would be awkward at times.  Of course, depends =
on what sort of forging you do.  I once had the opportunity to buy a =
640-lb (make unknown, but in perfect condition, from a old locomotive =
shop) for $700.  It would have been cool, but not practical for me.  =
However, wish I had it now to sell on E-bay!
