Go and ask them about it. I rescued a 5" vise from a scrap truck while
on my way to a friend's wedding about four yrars ago. Leg was sticking
up out of a mountain of scrap iron. Stopped at a light and asked driver
if he's sell it. Gave him $5. It was in nearly unused condition! I
still have it.
I've found at least three anvils here in Carteret as lawn ornaments. So
far I cannot get the owners to sell (not that I have any money) or trade
for a nice shiney NEW anvil from China :) :) :) But I will endeavor to
persevere in my rescue activities.

I'm not a person who is easily moved, and in truth am highly
indifferent to much that people find so touching. However,
one of the few spectacles that has succeeded in piercing me
deeply has been the one perceived whilst standing amid the
seemingly endless ocean of graves at Arlington, being unable
to help but to attempt to contemplate each and every single
individual life that came to rest here and by what means they
may have done so.
