Nothing wrong with being a patriot.  I find it a shame that cynicism
has caused that concept to become something many feel they should be
ashamed of.  We have a pretty good thing going here.  Not perfect by
any means, but it beats the pants off of most of the world.  I fear
that our president and his fine little circle will succeed in doing
yet more damage to freedom in the name of paranoid state security.
That we would consider sewing this nation up shut and tight seems to
indicate we have already been defeated.
