Phlip,
I have a friend who is very active in SCA. He built a propane forge and
at the first SCA event he took it to, He was castigated about a propane
forge by all the Period Correctness police. That is until me said that
his forge's 'personna' was that of an 13 or 14th century charcoal
forge.  That stumped them and after that no-one said any thing more....

BTW I am fairly certain he will be at Pennisc(sp?) Goes by Torin. And is
also a Harpist.
