Yup. I'm here somewhere. :-) Come by and see my new shop under
construction and the old shop as well. Take a run over to Tim
Bolivar's shop to visit the non-functional Alldays and Onions hammer
that has yet to be trucked in to my place. Excitement all around. :-)
i> Chris Huck in Lunnenburg (SP?)
Lunenburg. One 'n'. Chris and Laurie Huck. They take one weekday a
week off but I forget which one. Send me private email or phone if
you know what day you'll get to Lunenburg and I'll give Chris a call
and make sure they'll be around. Nice shop, nice folks, well worth a
visit.
Vernon Walters has retired and, regretably, the guy who has taken it
over keeps irregular hours and has kinda let the place run down.
Nevertheless, it's still worth a visit to see the shop where they
ironed the Bluenose, the Rose and the ill-fated Leavitt. Also in
Lunenburg. And the Bluenose II might be at dockside if you're keen on
boats.
Lunenburg Foundry was a great visit for blacksmiths, too, but, sad to
say, they closed the iron foundry (that was running ca. 1910
technology) a few years ago.
