At our recent Spring Meet we had Peter Ross as our demonstrator. He was
asked several times, "What size stock did you start with?" on the demo
pieces. He always answered, "I don't know, but I ended up with this."
Later on this became one of our joke questions to most everything he
did.
Another question asked about how forge welding worked. Did it combine
the iron molecules or something like that? His reply was, "I heat 'em up
until they get fuzzy, then I mash 'em together."
