Nice job Bob.  It is something I have been wanting to do for a long time as
well, but other things keep getting in the way.  If you don't mind me
asking, what way have you set it up so that it will remain free and always
able to turn with the slightest breeze, some kind of sealed bearings?, or
what?

My weather vane is up at last on the roof of the Vermont teddy bear company.
I have a pic of it on my web site under  gallery on page 4 of
blacksmithing.Not the greatest pic but who cares the weather vane is up
