I finally got my 5ft x 5ft Acorn platen table into the shop. I have
made mounting plates for my large machinist's vice, bending forks, and
my Locksafe(?) compact bender. (The one HF copied). I acutally
disassembled the bender from the pedestal and made a new mounting plate
from 1/2" plate with a 1 3/4" square tang that snugly fits the holes of
the table. The possibilities are endless!!!! The other ideas to build,
similar to the photos Ralph Sproul posted. Mountings for bench grinders,
beverly-like shears, bending fixtures, forming jigs, etc. etc etc.

I AM SO HAPPY I BOUGHT IT!!! (Ya'll may recall when I got it for
$300!!!). I can't believe I lived without one for so long.
I still have to develop a gang of clamping devices, plates, etc. as my
assortment of Vice grips aren't much help on an Acorn table.
