In answer to a couple of recent questions, that of compressor layout and
sandblaster building, I would like to suggest TIP. They are a company that
sells lower cost sandblasters, hvlp paintguns, and other auto restoration
stuff. I copied my piping layout for my shop from their catalog, where they
show how to lay out pipe, where to put drains, etc. I also built my own
cabinet sandblaster, buying the gun, hoses, vacuum etc. from them, and
building the cabinet out of 14ga steel. You can build as big or small a
sandblaster as you want, and it contains the sand. They sell cheap siphon or
pressure type sandblasters as well. I have had it for about 8 years now, and
it works great, and any replacement parts, such as carbide tips, are
available mailorder from them.
