I have had a similar but wierd thing going on since about 2 years ago. I
don't weld often anymore, having taken an office job, but when I do I get
burned on the neck. I had a heck of a time figuring this out until I
realised that since I got the bifocals, I hold my head different for close
work. With my head held up, I now get the burned neck syndrome. I learned
from a red-headed welder just what I need to do for this. With his light
skin, he needed more protection, and has add a piece of leather to the
bottom of his helmet. I think I will try this, as I have always been a
natural born red neck, but this is rediculous!
