"Use beeswax on grinding discs and cut-off wheels promote faster cutting.
Hold the beeswax on the wheel while it is coasting to a stop."
Peter Sevin

"When abrasive cut-off wheels glaze up and quit cutting, lightly tap the
cutting surface with a piece of steel while slowly turning the wheel (I
do the tapping while the wheel is coasting to a stop)."
Fred Borchardt

"Buy the thinnest abrasive cut-off wheels you can find (7/64). They last
just as long, don't glaze up as easily and require less horsepower to
make the cut (they are slso a little quieter)."
Bill Callaway
