I'm pretty sure I've read that Uri Hofi makes his own anvils out of S-7.
Cool setup, and he prefers quite a narrow working surface- something like 3
1/2 or 4" on a large, heavy anvil.

Quite different from the American ideal of a surface you can serve dinner
on. Since reading about his anvils, I've noticed that the only time I wish
my anvil was wider is when I'm not using it for an anvil: i.e. setting
things on it to make sure they stand up straight, and so forth... usually 4
1/2 inches is too wide, if anything, though I wouldn't give up weight for
slimness. (It's a Trenton 242, and BTW a fine anvil)
