I have the cookbook at home, not here, so can't look at the pictures. =
Your description is unclear, especially your phrase, "two part descending =
spiral". Do you mean an "S", or "C"-shape? I.e., a piece of metal with =
a spiral scroll on each end, oriented either opposite ("S") or on the same =
side ("C")?
If that's what you mean, the jig would be the ordinary scrolling jig, used =
once on each end.
If that's not what you mean, please clarify.

Hello all,
I was reading though a Francis Whitaker book, the Cookbook; and there is a
candle holder made of 12, 1/4 by 12 inch inch round pieces. They are
formed into two part descending spiral with a band interrupting the =
spiral
in the middle. The In his directions he says to shape the pieces around a
form so that they are all the same before aligning them and attaching them
to their upper and lower bands.
I cannot for the life of me imagine what this form looks like or how to =
make
one. I have seen this design or shape before, it seems the oldest most
traditional form and I would love to be able to produce it.
If any of you know how its done please do tell.
Mata
