Gents,

I'm looking at purchasing a gas forge and was hoping to pick up some
comments or ideas from those of you more experienced than me. The unit I'm
looking at is the Whisper Momma with 3" X 6" X 12" firebox and open end
ports, priced at $465.00. This looks like it would handle most of the small
to medium work without any trouble. My 2nd option is the Whisper Daddy with
it's larger 6" X 9" X 12" firebox and extra burner, but with a price tag
about $130.00 higher than the Momma. The folks I've talked to (farriers
mostly) that use the Whisper forges seem to think very well of them and none
seem to have an ill word to say. My questions revolve around the side ports
and the front and rear doors. Anybody have any comments about the options? I
have tax money coming and this seems like a good place to invest it, but I
don't want to make a mistake. Where can I find the best prices? Which is the
best choice?
