ok I just finished a Wrought Iron Trivet you can see it at http://flyinghorseforge.homestead.com/finishedtrivet.html here is my problem I would like to put a finish on it to help it not rust but I've done a heat color to a great peacock blue and don't want to mess it up with it being something that hot things are put on I don't think a wax finish will work and I'm afraid a clear paint will burn . any Ideas?
