Larry,

If you look at the bottom of any post you will see two links.  The top one 
( http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/theforge ) will take you to the 
qth mailing list page for TheForge.  In the first section you will find 
links to "old archives" (up to 12/01) and right below that a link to 
TheForge Archives.  The old archives are still there, but are doomed to 
extinction sometime in the near future - date not certain.
